Hello there,
It has been a hot minute since I last published an article on this section. So, here I am, coming back with a new "Life update" article.
Since September, the latest update, lots of things did happen, obviously. I won't dwell on all those months. Rather, I'll share an overall review concerning 2021.
How was 2021, Mathilde?
2021 was the "After Vancouver" life. I came back with so many projects, ideas, motivation, you name it!
Frankly speaking, most of them did not happen... But this is ok!
Of course, lots of other great things did happen, and I want to make a point of remembering those moments.
I got my first "real" job, we experienced life in Namur, I officially became the godmother of the cutest little boy, we found and built our home, we had many great family moments helping us to get closer and closer and realize how precious family is, and overall, we survived to COVID, again.
So, I'd say that even though most of my projects did not come true, we had good times and, like 2020, 2021 taught me that nothing should ever be taken for granted.
My biggest realization is that I miss my Canadian experience, I really do. I'm very hard pushed to handle this. I do like my comfy life in Belgium, but on the other hand, the wanderlust keeps on attracting me. I still need to figure this out because time flies, and I don't want to wake up one day and realize that I missed out on my life. Anyway, I'll keep you posted when I'll have figured this out.
In the meantime, I think (and I hope) that 2022 will mark the end of the COVID era. I'm so curious about this new year, opening on new perspectives, more fun, more travels, more LIFE!
Aside, I still have my personal projects, and I'm so not ready to wait another year to make them happen. So, wish me luck. 🤗
